guard your heart, guard your vision

guard your heart, guard your vision

Hi friends!

It has been so long since I have shared a blog. The past couple of months I have seen the move of God in my life. I am entering a new season and God has opened so many doors the past couple of months it is so humbling and amazing to witness. In the near future I will talk more about what has been happening but today I wanted to share what’s on my heart.

Everytime I get a small word from the Holy Spirit I always feel the urge to start writing because I will forget it if I put it off. Today, as I’m waiting to board my flight, I felt the Spirit urge me to write about guarding your heart, guarding your vision.

This is something I had to learn to do because I am a transparent person and I love sharing my life with people. I have always been the type of person to openly share what’s going on in my life – the good and bad!

The older I am getting, the more I realize I have to protect what is inside. I realize there is power in silence! My parents being entrepreneurs and people of faith, they gave me a kingdom key to “protect my garden.”

There are many visions, dreams, and plans that are stirring and brewing in my heart – some of my immediate family don’t even know about it! I say this because you have to let those dreams and visions marinade and cultivate in your heart. There are many things you can’t share with everyone out of protection for your vision!

It took a lot of trials and situations for me to realize this because there are people out there who don’t have pure intentions and would love to see your vision fail. Sometimes comparison, jealousy, and people knowing too much information can be obstacles to overcome when you allow too much access to your garden.

I love this verse because it bluntly states how a person who has sharp judgment waits to say what they have to say at the proper time! The shrewd person waits to share their heart and vision until the appointed time! In contrast, someone who is overconfident in their sharing (I used to be like this) has poor judgment. The poor judgment in timing and in who they are sharing information with.

I am writing this not to condemn or judge, but to encourage all those to not make the same mistakes I did. Be careful who you tell information to! I love the verse James 1:19 – which tells us to be quick to listen and slow to speak. Practicing James 1:19 allows us to make better judgment/discernment in who we tell things to and we get to take the time to see how much information we can tell a person. When we are slow to speak and quick to listen, we spend more time discerning and testing the fruit of someone to see if they can handle and be qualified to know the vision you preciously have!

The sooner we realize this, we prevent enemies invading the garden! We prevent enemies from infiltrating a space that does not belong to them.

Allow the Holy Spirit to move in and through you and He will reveal the people who are purposed for your dreams and visions. He will start pruning and narrowing your life when you start allowing the Spirit to lead your life.

Father God,

I pray for the person reading this to be of good courage in their path, their life, their journey, and their vision that you have bestowed on their life. I pray for the Holy Spirit to be so present in their life to help unravel the plans you have in their life. I pray over their calling and rebuke any ounce of distraction or interruption through people, place, or things! I pray for a covering over their dreams and visions and they will grow in their discernment to know what to share, when to share and to who to share.

In Jesus Name Amen.
