being a Christian is hard.

being a Christian is hard.

July 19, 2026

If I am going to be honest, being a Christian is hard. It is not easy, but I do not regret it. It is a life full of paradoxes. How can I have so much freedom, but yet, I can’t do what I want? How can I be joyful, when I’m grieving? How can I live, when I have to die to myself?

It is the mysteries of heaven that allows us to live a life that is contradicting, but yet, it makes sense!

How?

The answer is easier said than done – It is living a life like Jesus. A life where when I lose my life, I actually gain it (Phil 1:21; 2 Cor 5:15).

Why am I writing this?

Because I feel it in my Spirit, that we’re all in some way shape or form going through something. We’re feeling the weight of what it means to be a Christian. We know there is good on the other side of obedience, but we’re at the pinnacle moment where what we have sown and harvested for is manifesting publicly, but the Lord is telling you, “awesome, but keep moving and going, you’re not supposed to stay here any longer.”

And you’re probably questioning. You’re probably looking up to God, furrowing your brows and saying “But God, this is a good thing. Isn’t this a blessing? Look at all these good things in front of me? Aren’t these the fruits of what I have sown with you?”

Maybe I’m just writing to myself, but if this is you, I empathize with you.

Word of the Lord:

Come and see me, I am near, says the Lord.”

In Jesus Name,

Amen. (July 18, 2026 3:22PM).

Woah, I was not expecting that.

I was going to break down and blog a passage the Lord was brewing inside of Me, but that was heavy. That was a word and message from Heaven. Thank you Jesus.

Prayer:

God, I pray for whoever comes across this word and message, I pray they have open hearts to receive. I pray you soften our hearts and quiet the noise around us so we can hear you clearly. God we repent of any distractions and anything that took precedence over you. We pray for you to reveal the assignment you have for each and everyone of us. I pray for the reader across the screen, God. I rebuke any ounce of doubt, fear, double-mindedness off of them in the name of Jesus. I also pray and cancel out any assignment from the evil one. May you expose the plans of the enemy and expose the intentions of those who are wicked in Jesus name, Amen.

Thank you Jesus,

Amen.

Author’s note:

I love you all so much. I miss writing so much. If you’re on this journey with me, I never write when I don’t feel led. I believe this was for someone. And if it was for you, I am standing with you and I am here for you.

Blessings!

Love,

Lani
