The Earth Is Responding to the Heavens: A Prophetic Word on Shifting and Cleansing

There’s a shifting and cleansing taking place prophetically . Today I got a call from my parents who are currently in Maui, thousands of miles away from their kids. They called to tell all of their kids there was an earthquake at another island in the South Pacific and it triggered a tsunami warning across the island. Immediately, my siblings and I hopped on a prayer call, praying over my parents and everyone on the island. 

Meanwhile, I’m in California, and I’m seeing swarms of tsunami warnings for our coast as well. As much as there is so much information, warnings and fear being spread throughout the news and media, I can’t help but feel this immense amount of peace knowing who My God is. 

I kept hearing the phrase “the Earth is groaning” throughout the evening. When I finally sat in my room and just turned on my soaking music, immediately the Holy Spirit deposited. 

My thoughts: 

When a shift happens, cleansing must take place. 

When something is triggered , there is an exposure of something being hit. 

Word of the Lord: 07-29-25

I have shifted the heavens and the earth. I’ve turned the clock. No one knows the time or hour, but my Father in Heaven. Things have shifted in high places and earth is responding. 

‘Do not fear,’ says the Lord. A great cleansing is about to take place. Purification of my bride, my church, my ecclesia. 

The earth is responding to the heavens. 

Tell my people – Do Not Fear. For I am with them, says the Lord. I will not flood the earth, but I will restore it.

In this prophetic word, the Lord was highlighting the phrase “the earth is responding to the heavens.” I knew this was in the bible and the Holy Spirit led me to Hosea 2.

The book of Hosea represented God’s love for His people – the Israelites. He portrayed His love through the marriage of Hosea and Gomer. Today, I want to focus on Hosea 2: 14 – 23. 

This text showcases what I believe the Lord is doing in this prophetic hour. 

Hosea 2: 14 – 23

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her,
Will bring her into the wilderness,
And speak [a]comfort to her.

I will give her her vineyards from there,
And the Valley of Achor as a door of hope;
She shall sing there,
As in the days of her youth,
As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.

“And it shall be, in that day,”
Says the Lord,
“That you will call Me [b]‘My Husband,’
And no longer call Me [c]‘My Master,’

For I will take from her mouth the names of the Baals,
And they shall be remembered by their name no more.

In that day I will make a covenant for them
With the beasts of the field,
With the birds of the air,
And with the creeping things of the ground.

Bow and sword of battle I will shatter from the earth,
To make them lie down safely.

“I will betroth you to Me forever;
Yes, I will betroth you to Me
In righteousness and justice,
In lovingkindness and mercy;

I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness,
And you shall know the Lord.

“It shall come to pass in that day
That I will answer,” says the Lord;
“I will answer the heavens,
And they shall answer the earth.

The earth shall answer
With grain,
With new wine,
And with oil;
They shall answer [d]Jezreel.

Then I will sow her for Myself in the earth,
And I will have mercy on her who had [e]not obtained mercy;
Then I will say to those who were [f]not My people,
‘You are [g]My people!’
And they shall say, ‘You are my God!’ ”

Word of the Lord (cont)

There has been unfaithfulness, says the Lord, but I will renew. 

I will redeem My promises to you. 

I have called My people back to Me. I will show mercy to My People, says the Lord.

In this text, I want to note the verse saying “the earth shall answer with grain, with new wine, and with oil.” This part of the text really drew my attention because I believe these are the areas where we are going to see the Lord’s hand in our lives.  

1. GRAIN

Grain symbolizes provision and abundance. Some examples in the Bible were Joseph and in the years of famine, the Lord had Joseph store grain. In doing so, in the times of famine there was abundance and provision through Joseph’s obedience. 

The obedience the Lord is asking of you will reap a harvest, you just have to obey His commands. In the time of lack the Lord will provide and you will be spiritually abundant. 

Another example is Ruth. When Ruth was being redeemed by Boaz it was during the Barley (grain) festival (prophetic for her season). Ruth went from gleaning the grain to occupying and owning the fields the grain was in. In this, Boaz redeems Ruth and restores her inheritance that she lost when she became widowed. 

God is in the business of provision, restoration, and redemption in your life, IF you are obedient to Him and His Word. What Ruth and Joseph both had in common is they were obedient to the Lord’s Word. 

2. WINE 

Wine symbolizes the covenant, the blood of Jesus, or a new season. 

More specifically, I believe the Lord is ushering His body into a new season. The Jewish new year (Rosh Hashanah)  is about to take place in a little over a month. In this, the Lord calls us to a time of repentance. With a new year, comes a new season. 

When I first read the text and I saw new wine, I immediately thought of the Gospels when Jesus was talking about new wine and how we can’t put old wineskin into new wineskin and vice versa, but we must place new wine into new wineskin. 

Likewise, in this prophetic time, the Lord is calling us into newness. This can be a new territory, new job, new people, or new ways of thinking and doing. I believe the Lord is going to be doing something new in your lives, be open to it.

3. OIL 

Oil represents the Holy Spirit and anointing. I believe the Lord is ushering deeper levels of intimacy. He is going to press out the oil that’s inside of you. The oil will be used to keep the fire going so you can maintain being a light in the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. The new oil that is being referenced is the deeper level of intimacy you’re going to experience – the pressing and the squeezing of your faith journey. Times may seem rough, but do not grow weary, but rejoice, because the testing of your faith produces perseverance (James 1:2). 

I hope this Word encourages you and brings clarity to what is happening in the world. This is a time to rejoice and grow deeper in your faith and prayer walk.
